Take the 2012 True Sport Community
Give-Back Challenge!!!
Unleash the power of True Sport in your community and you could
o be featured on CBC leading up to and/or during the Sports Day in Canada broadcast
AND
o earn a cash award to help your group or sport organization to continue to live the True Sport Principles.
The True Sport Community Give-Back Challenge provides True Sport Members with an opportunity to give back to their communities by volunteering their time or hosting an event and donating the proceeds to a local charity or cause. Select participants and finalists will be profiled on CBC Sports and the winner will be announced during the Sports Day in Canada broadcast on CBC Sports on September 29, 2012.
Sports Day in Canada is a national celebration of sport, from grassroots to high performance, in communities across the country. Presented by CBC Sports, ParticipACTION and True Sport, Sports Day in Canada is an opportunity for all Canadians to celebrate the power of sport to build communities.

It’s easy to participate:
- Subscribe to the to the True Sport in Action newsletter to ensure that you receive up-to-date information about this year’s True Sport Community Give Back Challenge.
- Capture the story of how you made a difference in your community through pictures and videos during your event or activity. Compile or edit them to tell your story in 3 minutes or less.
- Submit your True Sport Community Give-Back Story (by sending a YouTube video link) to be eligible for an award.
*Finalists to be profiled on CBC Sports.
- Vote for your favourite True Sport Community Give-Back Story at www.truesportpur.ca/giveback (voting window to be determined).
- The winners will be announced during the Sports Day in Canada broadcast on CBC Sports on September 29th, 2012.
