Ontario Trillium Foundation
The Ontario Trillium Foundation, has partnered with the True Sport Foundation on two occasions to facilitate the introduction and development of True Sport Community Animation in the province of Ontario.
From November 2005 to October 2008, funds provided by the Ontario Trillium Foundation allowed True Sport Animators to work throughout Eastern and Central-Near Northern Ontario to promote, establish and implement a variety of True Sport initiatives at the community level. Building on the success of the Phase 1 pilot project, the True Sport Foundation was able to secure additional funds from OTF to further study the impact of True Sport at the community level. Through the Phase 2 project we will be providing guided direction and support to numerous communities throughout Ontario as they develop their own sustainable True Sport initiatives.
