On Tuesday, March 3, 2010, the 37th Canadian Sport Awards (CSA), brought to you by Sport Canada and the True Sport Foundation, will once again honour sport leaders who represent the pinnacle of commitment and competition: Canadian amateur athletes, coaches, sport leaders and volunteers.

This annual event which recognizes achievement in Canadian sport is the best opportunity to honour our amateur athletes.   The event promotes sporting excellence across Canada, and reminds Canadians how sport lifts the human spirit. It is a tribute to the hard work, the dedication and the victories of our country’s finest athletes.

Grenoble Public School

• This school has been chosen based on its location, sport initiatives and motivated staff and administrators who have expressed a keen interest in building a program around our visit.
• Athletes will read, talk, join in, participate and sign autographs. Athletes will advance the benefits of values-driven sport in Canada
• Grenoble P.S. is a dynamic, community-based school that is committed to the principles of academic excellence, safety, equity, partnerships, and collaboration.
• The school has won the prestigious National Quality Institute's Award of Merit as a Canadian school demonstrating excellence.
• The staff serves approximately 700 students - J.K. to Grade 5 - in the Flemingdon Park area.
• Approximately 93% of the students and/or their parents have immigrated to Canada. In excess of seventy-three different languages are represented at the school.
